Kat Tillinghast has been practicing Yoga and Meditation since 1999. She received her Certification through Yoga Works, has a Master’s Degree in Psychology and began teaching in Orange County, California in 2006. She attended 2 years at Loyola Marymount University with Larry Payne PhD. in the Yoga Rx program and became a Certified Yoga Therapist in 2011. Yoga Therapy focuses on individuals and small groups with any type of physical or emotional imbalance, including injury and trauma. A Yoga Therapy practice is specifically designed and created with compassion, to target the imbalance utilizing all of the tools of Yoga, a natural prescription. This can include poses, breathing, meditation, guided visualization, mantra, whatever practice is required for the individuals to manage their condition and get closer to a personal goal.

Kat has worked with Fortune 500 companies, CEO’s, Elite Athletes and Physicians. She has a wide private clientele list and specializes in Low back/Hip pain as well as talk therapy. Talk therapy includes stress management strategy and clarity of goals with wellness plans.. Kat teaches Corporate Yoga classes at KIA Motors as well as many other Corporations, on-site in Orange County. There are many different levels and styles of classes being taught in Corporations. Kat teaches Vinyasa Flow (fast paced, strength building), Beginners Yoga, Yoga Therapy for those with back pain, chronic pain or illness, as well as individuals who want a therapeutic style added to their regular practice. Evon has been practicing and teaching yoga for over 25 years. She is a graduate of the Loyola Marymount University Yoga Therapy Program in Los Angeles, California and the Yoga Therapy Clinical practicum with Amy Wheeler, PhD.

As a Yoga Therapist at the Community Memorial Hospital Cancer Resource Center in Ventura, California, she helps cancer patients cope with symptoms, medication side effects, sleep issues and improve quality of life.

Lesley Fightmaster – E-RYT 500

lesley-200x300Lesley began practicing yoga in 1999 and teaching in 2006.  She is known for her inspirational teaching style.  Lesley is a certified instructor and is registered with the Yoga Alliance, E-RYT-500.  In addition to the 200-hour certificate she earned from YogaWorks in 2006, she completed a 100-hr Primary Series training with renowned Ashtanga instructor, Tim Miller.  Tim has been studying and teaching Ashtanga Yoga for over 30 years and was the first American certified to teach by Sri Pattabhi Jois at the Ashtanga Yoga Research Institute in Mysore, India.  In 2010, she earned her 300-hour certification in the YogaWorks Professional Program and also has an additional certification in the YogaWorks teaching method.  Lesley is on the YogaWorks teacher training faculty and is a lead trainer for the 200-hour teacher training program. Students appreciate Lesley’s ability to infuse her meditative and flowing Vinyasa classes with yoga philosophy, concise technical alignment, and some heart-felt humor.

Lisa Rigsbee, MS, MEd, E-RYT 200

lisa-rigsbeeLisa began practicing yoga in 2001 and fell in love during her first class. Yoga changed her life. She went through her first teacher training in 2004, with amazing master teachers Julie Kleinman, Chuck Miller, Maty Erzaty, and James Brown. In the years since, she has gone through trainings in Hot Yoga, Restorative, and Power Yoga. She is also a certified Pilates mat instructor.

She teaches everything from Gentle group classes to a more vigorous, power style. She likes making every one of her classes accessible to every student.  Lisa has years of both studio and corporate teaching. Her teaching adapts well to different groups and different styles of Yoga.

 

 

 

 

Rebekah O’Shields – RYT 500

rebecca-248x300When Rebekah came to yoga she had been working in the corporate world for 2 years. She was working her dream job— graphic design. She loved the creative aspect of the job, however, was quickly discovering that she didn’t like the sedentary quality that her chosen career required.

She took steps over a period of 3 years to train and finally become a full time yoga instructor. It required a ton of courage, and continues to be a journey full of joy, challenges, and insights.

Rebekah is so grateful to do something as a profession that helps people feel better in their bodies. She believes that yoga changes lives. Simple. Yoga can be customized for anybody. One of the things Rebekah loves about yoga is that it can be practiced in some form by anyone, regardless of age, health, or flexibility. She believes if we can take steps individually to feel good in these bodies, we will shine that goodness outward. We can then enhance the quality of our lives, the lives of those around us, and build a better world. Yoga provides a pathway. Namaste.

 

 

Laurie Eberhard – RYT 200

bend-laurie-300x200Laurie took her first yoga class in 1999 and after that knew yoga was for her.  Her current practice is a blend of mysore asthanga and vinyasa flow.  Laurie received her 200 hour RYT from YogaWorks in Mission Viejo with Lesley Fightmaster and Audri Geary.  Laurie is currently in the 500 hour RYT with YogaWorks and her long time teacher Erika Burkhalter and will complete this program in April 2014.   Laurie has also been a School Psychologist for over 25 years.

Laurie believes that yoga can be for anyone, any age.  She came to yoga a little later in life than some and continues to be amazed at all the benefits and joy that yoga brings.

 

Celina Carey – RYT 500

cc-head-shot-gif_-231x300Celina is an RYT500 teacher completing her 200 and 300 hour training through YogaWorks in Orange County and Los Angeles. She has trained under teachers such as Lisa Walford & Annie Carpenter and mentored under Thomas Taubman.

Having worked through a major back injury she passionately believes moving intelligently and with purpose is the key to a safe and more meaningful practice.

Celina has been practicing yoga since 1997 and draws upon her varied experiences as an elite athlete and yoga teacher to bring focus beyond the physical body, helping to bring awareness and presence within the mind. Her teaching combines strength and flexibility while paying particular attention to alignment and breath.

 

 

Marie-Claude Linteau – RYT 200

marie-300x206Yogini since 1999, Marie moved from Quebec to New England to continue her master in French literature at the University of Vermont. After teaching college for a few years, she left the hills of Vermont for sunny SoutheMariern California where she has since managed her business and taught yoga in Orange County. Marie teaches a meditative flow focusing on deep, slow and steady healing. The practice incorporates yin poses, heating flow, detox poses, balancing, pranayama and meditation. Marie has studied with Seane Corn, Max Strom, Richard Miller, Rod Stryker and Steve Ross, Leslie Kaminoff and Larry Payne. She is now in the Yoga Therapy RX program at Loyola Marymount University to become a yoga therapist and complete her RYT500.

Marie currently teaches group classes at Sunspark Yoga in Orange, Soul at Home in Tustin and Anaheim Regional Medical Center in Anaheim. Private and semi-private sessions can be scheduled to deepen your practice or to address a specific ailment (yoga therapy).

 

Courtney James – RYT-500

img_4382-200x300Courtney began her Yoga journey in 2000. Her mom brought her to a class at the local gym. It was love at first breath! Her practice started out sporadic, attending classes regularly for a few months, then going periods without unrolling the mat at all.

In 2007, she experienced a great shift in her life, and left the business world! Wondering what her dharma was, a friend mentioned teaching. After six months of training with Alison Brown, she completed her 200 hour training in 2008.

Forever a student, Courtney pursued more training, and in July, 2011 and completed the advanced 300 Hour Teacher Training through Cloud Nine Yoga. She is currently working toward becoming a Para Yoga master teacher, studying the energetics of yoga directly under Rod Stryker.

Courtney teaches group, private classes, individuals, kids Yoga, and prenatal. She additionally trains other teachers to become Registered Yoga Teachers with Cloud Nine Yoga.

Lisbeth Fritz – E-RYT-500

lisbeth-profile-picLisbeth began her yoga journey in 2000 with an Introduction to Yoga class and fell in love with the practice. She completed two trainings in Ashtanga one with David Swenson and another with Nancy Gilgoff. In addition Lisbeth trained under Gary Kraftsow of the American Viniyoga Institute in the Viniyoga tradition which has a more therapeutic approach to yoga. She began teaching at Yoga Works in 2003 and subsequently completed their 200 and 300 hour trainings and is Yoga Works Certified. In addition, she is currently part of the Yoga Works Teacher Training faculty as an assistant. Lisbeth teaches an Ashtanga inspired flow, focused on increasing student’s strength and stamina through creative and ever-changing sequences. Her teaching style focuses on enhancing alignment and understanding of the postures.

Jacinthe Mitchell-RYT

jacinthe-mitchell-209x300Jacinthe Mitchell has been practicing yoga for five years and has completed the challenging Third Series and Fourth Series in Ashtanga and is now learning the Fifth Series. Without any background in dance or gymnastics, Jacinthe tried her first Yoga class (Ashtanga Prep at Yoga Works) and was hooked and became a dedicated Ashtanga practitioner ever since. She credits her accelerated training to her principal teacher Itay Dollinger in combination with her trainings with Yoga Works, Tim Miller and True Flow Yoga. “I love the elegance and grace of the Ashtanga tradition, my gratitude to Sri K. Pattahbi Jois is insurmountable. I believe that ANYONE can practice Ashtanga yoga, given love, and a sense of humor. I have seen and experienced this practice as a way to grow, transform, transcend and become yourself.” Jacinthe’s dedication to her personal yoga practice and the Ashtanga lineage shine through in her teaching. Her energy is contagious and inspiring! Jacinthe specializes in providing all her students with a lot of personal attention and helping them to advance and grow in their yoga journey.

 

 

 

Annemarie Rung-RYT

annemarie-rung-247x300Annmarie Rung is a Native New Yorker, and has lived in Huntington Beach, Ca for the past 10 years. She has a Business degree from the University of South Florida, and is a Certified Yoga Instructor (RYT) with Yoga Alliance through Core Power Yoga in Huntington Beach, CA. She is also YEAS (Yoga Education for Autism Spectrum ) certified . Annmarie is also a holistic health/food coach for those who are looking for optimal health.

Ashley McKeachie YTRx 800-C, RYT-500, POLY-500  

ashleymckeachie_hs-200x300Ashley McKeachie is a registered yoga instructor and yoga therapist, who received her yoga therapy certification through Loyola Marymount University, completing the four year 800-hour clinical program in 2014.  Along with private yoga therapy appointments, she is part-time faculty at Orange Coast College for the Kinesiology and Athletics Department and teaches numerous types of group yoga classes, including Vinyasa, Power, Yin, Restorative, Chair, and Prime Of Life Yoga™ in Orange County.   Ashley is also the official yoga therapist of the UC Irvine Men’s Basketball Team and wishes them good luck in their current season!

Ashley recently participated in Loyola Marymount University’s inaugural Level 4 Yoga Therapy Rx internship.  The curriculum involved working at the famous Simms-Mann Venice Family Clinic in Los Angeles, where Ashley used a variety of yoga therapy techniques to help patients alleviate their suffering from chronic pain.  During this time, Ashley began working with clients diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease, and discovered a passion to help those with the disease as well as their caretakers.

Ashley’s mission is to source the power of yoga, the mind, body, and spirit connection that creates joy, fluidity, freedom, and an overwhelming sense of safety and peace.  Ashley believes that Yoga gives you the confidence to know and feel that everything is as it should be, and you are already perfect exactly the way you are.

 

David Turner 500 E- RYT

dsc00857David began using some yoga postures to stretch before sporting activities like, mountain biking, hiking, skiing or playing ball. In 2006, he took his first yoga class at a studio and loved it.  Over the next few years he noticed as have others, how doing and practicing yoga seemed to bring him much more pleasure than work in the IT field which he was in.  He talked about wanting to teach for a while and finally decided, after having hip surgery (2008), and with a lot of loving support, to move forward to take and complete his 200-hour certification in 2012 and subsequently completing his 300-hour certification in 2015 at the Yoga Bungalow.

When guiding, a yoga practice David always feels hopeful, because he believes that all changes begin with the smallest of movements or steps and that anyone who decides to undertake any form of yoga practice is open to and looking for some form of positive change in his or her life.

David loves the fact that whenever someone takes part in the practice of yoga no matter the level or the type of practice they get to enjoy all of the benefits of yoga.

 

Alice Hix – RYT 500

alixhixWhile working in the high stress corporate world of retail, Alice discovered Yoga on holiday in Hawaii.  Evening Yoga became the perfect antidote to a stressful day whether in Laguna Beach or NYC.  Eventually, evening R&R led to a study of Ashtanga Yoga, Iyengar Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, and Hatha Yoga.  Alice completed the 200 hr. training program at YogaWorks in 2013 with Lesley Fightmaster, the 300 hr. program at YogaWorks in 2016, and Ashtanga Teacher Training with Tim Miller.  Training Workshops with dedicated master Yoga Teachers provide inspiration and revelation, such as:  Matthew Sweeney, David Swenson, Diana Christinson, Tim Feldman, David Miliotis, Erika Burkhalter, Denise Thibault.

Alice is inspired by the words of the late Guru, Sri K. Pattabhi Jois:  “the practice of Surya Namaskara (Sun Salutations) has come down to us from the long distant past, and is capable of rendering human life heavenly and blissful”.
Yoga is a true source of therapy for the entire body.
